Post #25: This Is Not the End
Disability and Inclusion: A Journey, Not a Destination
As RM 207: Disabilities and Inclusion comes to a close, I find myself reflecting not just on the academic lessons, but on the more profound, personal transformation this course sparked.
Over the past semester, I’ve explored the multifaceted realities of disability—physical, cognitive, emotional—and the systemic barriers that often go unseen. Through powerful readings, collaborative projects, and open dialogue, I’ve come to understand that inclusion isn’t a checkbox or a buzzword. It’s a daily commitment to equity, empathy, and action.
This blog has been a space to share my reflections, challenges, and growth. But let me be clear: this is not the end.
I will continue to use this platform to advocate for disability rights and inclusive practices. Expect future posts that dive deeper into accessibility issues, highlight relevant news and research, and share upcoming workshops and events that promote inclusive education and community engagement.
"Inclusion is not a matter of political correctness. It is the key to growth." — Jesse Jackson
